The center of the Mars City undercity, contains the main waste reprocessing facilities, the generator for the shield dome (from the pre-atmosphere days), and the internal atmosphere processors, as well as the central data core and everything else. Of course, all this stuff is well sealed off and automated, which is good, since most folks possessing any common sense don’t go to the core anymore-and if they do, they definitely don’t come back. there’s as many rumors about what’s living/un-living there as there are people in the undercity, but most folks are content to ignore its ominous presence and go about there lives, since nothing ever seems to come out….
