The process of transforming a planet into something livable. This process is nearly complete on Mars, though the atmosphere is such that conditions are rather dusty. The main problems were heating the planet up, constructing a breathable atmosphere, and ensuring a supply of potable water. The water is still primarily trapped in underground reservoirs and in the polar ice caps, but the other two processes are mostly complete. see “home” for more details.
