Imaginary Annie Goldsmith puts together a team to deal with some dangling threads left by the main crew when they fled to Denver. For starters, they need to break Tommy Vermont out of Knight Errant protective custody in a precinct in Redmond, where he is being kept for treatment of some sort of unknown condition after solving the Chainsaw Murders case. Only Annie knows it’s CFD though some on the team are suspicious…

They make an elaborate plan to recon the precinct, with Mango posing as a lawyer and bluffing her way in to see a “client”. They arrange a mafia driver extraction, and pick a spot to pass Vermont off to the street doc Riot, who knows a more connected doc who has some experimental treatments she wants to try.

Blue provides matrix and sniper overwatch, Klamm heads in the front door posing as a reporter, and the main team sneaks in the back. Some cops spot them, and they get in a rolling firefight, but with surprise on their side, 2 angles of attack, and sniper support they manage to extract Vermont and get free with no casualties.

They get paid and head back to their various safehouses, agreeing to stay in touch about future jobs…

Unfortunately the next job (acquiring various paracritters for a Fort Lewis parazoologist) goes sideways when they try to steal security hellhounds from a corp blacksite in the Barrens. Most of the team is KO’ed and barely limps away in a busted van, while their new hire Hemtex is killed outright, and pulled by some magical force into the facility. They still owed the parazoologist some animals (or else their rep is gonna suffer) so they regoup to figure out next steps.
