The Triads are the predominant criminal organization found in Chinese communities. The name “triad” comes from the interpretation by 17th century English of the symbols of the Hung Sun, a secret society opposed to the English occupation of China. The triangle symbol represented the relationship between Heaven, Earth, and Man.

Triads are heavily reliant on magic. It is rumored that the supreme leader of the Triads is the great eastern dragon Lung. Rumors of ties to Wuxing Inc are also common.
