The IOND is a major, international hermetic order with a large membership. There are, as always, rumors of secret inner circles to the group.

They have a political wing, which runs as the New Century Party in the UCAS, and other names elsewhere. Supposedly have ties to the Technocrat party in the CAS as well. They have a near-mystical belief that using a combination of magic and tech can startlingly improve the world, given the right leadership (i.e., them).
