Mars City Shadowrun
Children of the Dragon
A religious order/cult dedicated to pursuing what they see as Dunkelzahn’s message. They view him as a christ-like prophet who will return one day to save humanity, and they have to shepherd the world until then. Led by a man who took the name David Dragonson after his revelation and awakening, at the time of Dunk’s death. He is one of the earliest known followers of Dragon. Their churches are known as “creches.”

A splinter faction, led by a man who took the name Joshua Morningstar (after his own revelations), believes that Dunk was merely a prophet and that Ghostwalker is the true savior of humanity. He calls his group The Church of the Dragon Reborn, and is much more aggressive and militant about artifact collection, even hiring runners to boost his acquisitions. He claims that Ghostwalker is the only rightful owner of powerful magical items.

There is a fanatical militant sect within the COTD that operates independently, called the Knights of the Dragon. They are known to fight to the death for their causes. They have been denounced by both other branches. They are led by a man who took the name Michael Wymcaller after emerging from a 3-year coma, during which he had to be extensively cyber-reconstructed following a serious accident. He claimed to have encountered Dunk during his coma, and been given the “true” revelation and secret to his return: cybermancy. He outfits all the Knights with deltaware, and they seek the honor of undergoing cybermantic rituals. He claims that Dunk cannot be reborn into flesh alone, but only a fusion of flesh and machine, and he seeks artifacts (and dragons) to experiment on and ready the way.
